Lloyd Grimshaw, ein Mitglied der Plymouth Brethren Christian Church und dessen Gro\u00dfvater w\u00e4hrend des Zweiten Weltkriegs in Neuguinea diente, sagte \u00fcber den ANZAC-Tag:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

„Die Plymouth Brethren Christian Church (PBCC), die manchmal f\u00e4lschlicherweise als \u201eThe Exclusive Brethren\u201c bezeichnet wird, respektiert die ANZACs und alle, die im Krieg gedient haben, zutiefst.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

„Mitglieder unserer Kirche dienten als Sanit\u00e4ter und Bahrentr\u00e4ger in beiden Weltkriegen sowie im Korea- und Vietnamkrieg, um nur einige zu nennen.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

„Die Mitglieder unserer Kirche begehen keine einzelnen Tage wie den ANZAC-Tag (oder Ostern oder Weihnachten). Das bedeutet nicht, dass wir diejenigen, die im Krieg Opfer gebracht haben, nicht ehren. <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

„Die Mitglieder unserer Kirche haben nicht darum gebeten, dass unsere Kinder, die die Sherwood Ridge Public School besuchen, von den Gottesdiensten zum ANZAC-Tag entschuldigt werden. <\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/p>\n

„Abgesehen davon hat die Kirche kein Problem mit der Schule oder dem Bildungsministerium, und wir sind sicher, dass es keine b\u00f6sen Absichten gab. <\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

„Alle Kinder der Br\u00fcder werden ermutigt, den M\u00e4nnern und Frauen, die unserem Land gedient haben oder dienen, den gr\u00f6\u00dften Respekt zu haben. Sie werden in h\u00f6chstem Ma\u00dfe gesch\u00e4tzt. <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201eBr\u00fcder dienten oft an der Front und retteten Verwundete. Und viele wurden f\u00fcr ihren Mut gew\u00fcrdigt, nachdem sie unbewaffnet an die Front gegangen waren, um Verwundete zu bergen.\u201c<\/p>\n
