N\u00e4r ensidig, sensationell eller felaktig rapportering f\u00f6rekommer, publicerar vi ibland fullst\u00e4ndiga svar fr\u00e5n PBCC eller relaterade organisationer (med deras tillst\u00e5nd), samt ytterligare kontext f\u00f6r att tillhandah\u00e5lla fakta och \u00e5terst\u00e4lla balansen. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>R\u00e4ttar till protokollet: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.abc.net.au\/news\/2025-09-15\/big-brethren\/105776410\">Big Brethren<\/a><\/p>\n<p>M\u00e5ndagen den 15 september 2026 s\u00e4ndes en artikel om Plymouth Brethren Christian Church kallad &#8221;Big Brethren&#8221;, som inneh\u00f6ll inneh\u00e5ll som var felaktigt, partiskt och sensationslystent.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 \u00c4ven om kyrkan naturligtvis bestrider de perspektiv som lades fram, s\u00e5 \u00e4r det inte det enda problemet, s\u00e4ger kyrkans talesperson Lloyd Grimshaw.<\/p>\n<p>&#8221;Varje kyrka runt om i v\u00e4rlden har m\u00e4nniskor som har l\u00e4mnat kyrkan och som reflekterar d\u00e5ligt \u00f6ver sin upplevelse, och Plymouth Brethren Christian Church \u00e4r inget undantag.<\/p>\n<p>&#8221;Det som \u00e4r unikt f\u00f6r oss \u00e4r graden av direkt partiskhet mot v\u00e5r kyrka j\u00e4mf\u00f6rt med andra i Australien.<\/p>\n<p>&#8221;V\u00e5r kyrka uppfyller ingen definition av sekt. Vi rekryterar inte m\u00e4nniskor och \u00e4ven om alla religioner har normer och traditioner kan detta inte r\u00e4ttvist karakteriseras som kontroll. Och \u00e4nd\u00e5 karakteriserade ABC det p\u00e5 det s\u00e4ttet och inkluderade praktiskt taget ingenting av v\u00e5rt svar.  <\/p>\n<p>&#8221;ABC l\u00e4t n\u00e5gon h\u00e4vda att kvinnor i v\u00e5r kyrka &#8217;i huvudsak \u00e4r en barnmakare och en hemmafru&#8217;, men intervjuade faktiskt inte n\u00e5gra kvinnor i v\u00e5r kyrka som svar.<\/p>\n<p>&#8221;ABC tog en tur till Miami och \u00e5terskapade sedan historier som till stor del fanns i offentliga register fr\u00e5n en handfull personer som l\u00e4mnat oss och som var olyckliga.<\/p>\n<p>&#8221;S\u00e4ga vad man vill om Michael Bachelard fr\u00e5n The Age, han l\u00e4mnar \u00e5tminstone inte skattebetalarna med notan f\u00f6r sitt p\u00e5g\u00e5ende korst\u00e5g.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Kyrkan noterade ocks\u00e5 den mycket partiska st\u00e5ndpunkt som intagits av Labours parlamentsledamot Jerome Laxale, som \u00e4r ordf\u00f6rande i den st\u00e4ndiga valkommitt\u00e9n.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Laxale sa att det \u00e4r ett angrepp p\u00e5 demokratin att m\u00e4nniskor fr\u00e5n v\u00e5r religion deltar i valen och att de var d\u00e4r f\u00f6r att k\u00f6pa valet.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 T\u00e4nk om n\u00e5gon sa n\u00e5got s\u00e5dant om muslimer, judar eller katoliker.<\/p>\n<p>&#8221;Vi \u00e4r genuint oroade \u00f6ver om han opartiskt kommer att vara ordf\u00f6rande f\u00f6r den kommande st\u00e4ndiga kommitt\u00e9n f\u00f6r valfr\u00e5gor.<\/p>\n<p>&#8221;Han iscens\u00e4tter det som en h\u00e4xjakt.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Kyrkans detaljerade uttalande som svar p\u00e5 fr\u00e5gorna fr\u00e5n Four Corners ignorerades till stor del i ber\u00e4ttelsen, men kan ses <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plymouthbrethrenchristianchurch.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/plymouth-brethren-christian-church-statement.pdf\">h\u00e4r<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Uttalandet som publicerades direkt efter att programmet hade s\u00e4nts finns <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plymouthbrethrenchristianchurch.org\/sv\/?p=11128\">h\u00e4r<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>F\u00f6r mer information om v\u00e5r kyrka, se <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plymouthbrethrenchristianchurch.org\/sv\/vara-medlemmar\/faqs\/\">h\u00e4r<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Plymouth Brethren Christian Church \u00e4r ibland f\u00f6rem\u00e5l f\u00f6r medierapportering, som inte alltid \u00e4r korrekt eller balanserad.
