Media coverage in Sweden offers insight into life in the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church – Helsingborgs Dagblad meets Nick and Chloe
The Rosdahl family in Påarp, just outside Helsingborg recently welcomed a journalist from Swedish newspaper Helsingborgs Dagblad, who wanted to explore life in the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church. The feature takes readers inside the family home, to church and to a barbecue. Nick and Chloe Rosdahl speak about their daily lives, their faith and the importance of community.
Nick and Chloe live in Påarp with their three children. Nick works in the family business, Chloe volunteers with the Rapid Relief Team, and their children attend OneSchool Global. Faith and church meetings are also an important part of the family’s daily life.
“In many ways, they lead an ordinary life, but one that is also demanding in ways that can be difficult for outsiders to relate to,” Helsingborgs Dagblad observes.
The feature explores how the family balances work, school and leisure activities with church traditions and meetings. The journalist also visits a barbecue where church members enjoy food, socialise and play Kubb – a traditional Swedish outdoor game.
“Everyone has their own community. Perhaps we just make more of ours than most people do,” says Nick Rosdahl.
