Plymouth Brethren Christian Church launches website and social media to tell its story

The Plymouth Brethren Christian Church (PBCC) has officially launched a modernised website and new social media pages to offer insight into our church, its parishioners and way of life.

The new-look PBCC website will have frequently updated content, including information about our neighbours, the charity Rapid Relief Team, and our school network OneSchool Global.

The social media pages, which include Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, are now live and will be sharing similar content.

“Our church does not actively recruit people, but we are keen to address the public curiosity that has surrounded it for decades,” said Lloyd Grimshaw, PBCC spokesperson.

“There are so many myths and misunderstandings that exist when it comes to our church. Some of the misinformation is harmless, like ‘Brethren are anti-technology’,” said Lloyd.

“We are using technology as much as anyone else, and hopefully having an informative presence on the internet and social media will help put that one to rest!

“We will be using the website and social media pages to provide answers to common questions about the church.”

As well as answering Any Questions?, the website and social media pages will share video content that will offer insight into what it is like to be a member of the PBCC, or to have PBCC members in the community.

The PBCC was established around 200 years ago, founded by John Nelson Darby, one of the most influential Protestant thinkers of the 19th century. Today there are more than 54,000 community members across Australia, the Caribbean, Europe, New Zealand, North and South America and the United Kingdom.

Correcting the Record: “Brethren charity sues woman allegedly abused by an elder”

Correcting the Record: “Brethren charity sues woman allegedly abused by an elder”. Reports by The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age on 8 February 2026 falsely implied that the Plymouth Brethren Christian Chruch’s charity, the Rapid Relief Team or RRT, is suing a person, because she made allegations of abuse against a church member. This is categorically untrue. This article made, or otherwise repeated, deeply disturbing […]
