Meet our members

Bill and Hannah are a married couple from Sydney who have a musical story to share on this episode of Behind the Plymouth Brethren, a not-so Exclusive Podcast. Bill works with musicians from the Brethren community across the world on two major projects aimed at sharing their talents far and wide. Hannah is a mum of three girls, who used to be the drummer in a girl band. She is also passionate about politics and wants to have her voice heard.

Grandmother to 16 Joy Hutchison and her youngest son Roland Hutchison are back for another episode of Behind the Plymouth Brethren, a not-so Exclusive Podcast. Joy shares the story of how after her husband died unexpectedly, she went back to the workforce after three decades and it helped her get through a challenging time in her life.

On International Volunteer Day 2025, the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church is launching a new video series called “Our Volunteers” to share the stories of our members who give their time to serve others in the community.

Meet Ian, the Local Team Leader for the Rapid Relief Team in Liverpool, UK. He says while he’s motivated by scripture to do good acts, there’s also a ‘feel-good factor’ in making a positive difference to someone’s life.

Make, don’t buy. This Classic Hummus is creamy, fresh, and ready in minutes!

✅ Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 20 mins | Makes: 350g

Ingredients:
400g canned chickpeas
Garlic, lemon juice, olive oil
Tahini (optional), cumin, salt & pepper
Water for blending

Meet Joy Hutchison – a widowed mother and grandmother who recently retired from OneSchool Global. With her sixth child Roland Hutchinson, Joy joins us for the latest episode of Behind the Plymouth Brethren, a not-so Exclusive Podcast. Joy is a busy and active grandmother of 16, and Roland is a dad to two little boys and a girl who was tragically lost at 18 months old. They’ve both endured unexpected losses with their strength, faith, and community keeping them going.
